Greg : Vocals; Guitars; Lap Steel Guitar; Mandolin & Dobro

Greg's musical career started at school when he was influenced by guitar legend  Jimi Hendrix. Greg played a concert for fellow pupils (Ian was in the audience!).

He then formed a couple of local rock bands, but influenced by T-Bone Walker and Howling Wolf Greg wanted to play the blues.

Greg formed the Herbert's blues band. With his interest turning to Western Swing music, from being turned on to this genre by the likes of Bob Wills & His Texas Playboys, Greg went on to play lap steel. After quite a few years Greg and Ian met up again, over a beer this time, and the idea for The Armadillos was formed.

Ian : Drums; Percussion; Vocals; Acoustic Guitar

Ian’s musical career started with his Dad’s Dance combo covering on drums while the regular drummer got the spot prizes sorted out. Ian was a founder member of the country band Southern Pride in the early seventies, and then later went on to play with Tony in Nashville Fever.

Ian’s influences started at an early age with his Uncle's Hank Williams 78’s and moved to Johnny Cash when his brother swapped 'Sgt Peppers' for 'Live at Folsom Prison', with John Fogerty and the likes of Waylon & Willie & Flatt n Scruggs added to the mix.

Tony : Vocals; Guitar; Keyboards; 5 string Banjo

Tony's musical career started at an early age listening to his Mum and Dad singing in harmony

at home in Wales.

Tony was bought a guitar when he was 8 and moved to Salford in Manchester.

His musical influences come from jazz greats such as Charlie Christian and Glenn Miller.

Tony played with local rock bands Black Sedan and Microwave

before being spotted by Nashville Fever front man Des Logan and Ian.

Tony then spent many years playing in Europe and the Middle East before joining up with Ian once again.

Andy : Doghouse Bass; Electric Bass; Ukulele
